Setting Overview
The setting is located within a residential community and is within walking distance of a local RSPB nature reserve. Nearby facilities include a Children's Centre, the Purfleet Community Hub, and local primary and secondary schools. A major shopping centre is accessible within a ten-minute drive. The nursery is well served by local public transport, including bus and train links.
Curriculum and Learning
The KIDZPROOF curriculum is delivered in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. It supports children to develop at their own individual pace and provides a balance of child-initiated and adult-led learning experiences. Activities are planned across both indoor and outdoor environments, including the use of a secure, enclosed garden area. This enables children to explore, investigate, and develop an understanding of the world around them while promoting physical development, healthy lifestyles, and positive wellbeing.
Safeguarding, Welfare and Quality Assurance
KIDZPROOF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. We maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that meets the highest standards of care. The setting participates in a quality assurance programme and undertakes continuous evaluation, self-assessment, and monitoring to support ongoing improvement and positive outcomes for children.
We ensure that all staff are suitably qualified, trained, and supported to carry out their roles effectively. Robust policies and procedures are in place and are understood and consistently implemented by all staff, parents, and visitors.
Inclusion and Equality
The setting is fully inclusive and meets the needs of all children attending. Reasonable adjustments are made to the premises and provision, including the use of mobility aids where required, to ensure all children can access learning opportunities. Children are supported to develop their personalities, talents, and abilities irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, language and communication needs, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities, or gender.
Partnerships with Parents and Multi-Agency Working
We recognise parents and carers as children's primary educators and work in close partnership with families to support children's learning and development. Strong, respectful relationships are established between home and nursery to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
We actively support families to access additional services and support where appropriate, including those provided through government, professional, and voluntary sectors. Effective multi-agency working is promoted to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Staff Training and Professional Development
Ongoing training and professional development are provided for all staff to ensure they remain knowledgeable and compliant with current legislation, guidance, and best practice relating to early years education and child safety. This includes training in line with the SEND Code of Practice to support children with additional needs.
